In LibreOffice, double-click the file and a window will appear asking for the import settings. Select the options as shown in the image below.



Click OK, and the file will open with the data separated into columns and ready to be edited.

Saving the file


Choose the “Text CSV (.csv)” format as shown in the image below. Don’t forget to check the “Edit filter settings” box in the lower-left corner.


A new window will appear asking for confirmation to save in this format—confirm the CSV format. Next comes the file saving configuration step (which is why it’s important to check the Edit filter settings option).


This window will appear, and you must configure it according to the image below in order to be able to import the file into OZmap.




Note: Regardless of which program is used to work with spreadsheets, the .csv file configuration must always be the same:

  • Character set: Unicode (UTF-8)

  • Field delimiter: “,” (comma)

  • Text delimiter: “ (double quotes)

  • Quote all text cells

After configuring these options, just click OK and your file will be ready.
