To generate an API key in OZmap, the first step is to create a new user. It’s crucial to use a dedicated user for this purpose, as the user will lose access to OZmap once the key is generated. Click here to learn more about the user creation process.
Steps for Configuring the User
When the creation window opens, you’ll need to properly configure the user by filling in the following details:
- User: Provide a name for the user, and it’s recommended to choose a name that is easily identifiable.
- Email: Enter a valid email address that is not already used in the system and is exclusively for this user.
- Projects: Specify the projects the API key will have access to. If it should access all projects, select the “All Projects” button.
- Modules: Select the “API” module.
At the end of this process, the fields should resemble the example below:
The “API Key” field is where the key will be generated.
