OZloc is a system designed to help sales representatives determine whether service feasibility exists at a specific location.

If feasibility is confirmed, a new client is created, and the installation schematic details are automatically generated. If there is no network feasibility for the client’s address, an email can be sent to the engineering team requesting a network expansion in that area

To log in to the system, the user (registered in OZmap) must have permission to access the OZloc module.

The Environment

Once logged in, the screen is divided into two sections. On the left, there is a search bar where the salesperson must enter the client’s address.

On the right, there is a map displaying the client’s location.

Searching for the Address

To check service feasibility, the salesperson must enter either the address or the coordinates of the location where the sale is being made.

There are two feasibility modes that can be selected in the System Settings: poles and radius.

Feasibility by poles: this mode takes into account the registered poles and their adjacencies to determine the connection feasibility for the client.

Feasibility by radius: this mode considers the straight-line distance between the client’s location and the boxes or vertical buildings, without the need to document poles.

If the address does not exist on the map or any other issue occurs, check out our article on how to request the client’s location through Findme, our advanced sales tool.

In the first window on the left, the elements, their names, and their notes will be displayed.

In the window below, the gated communities and properties will be listed — you can learn more about sales in gated communities in our dedicated article.

Selecting the Equipment

Now you must select which equipment will be used to connect the client’s drop cable. This can be done by selecting one of the icons on the map or by using the list of poles and boxes on the left side.

In this list, when you hover the mouse over the names, the corresponding element will be highlighted in yellow. If it’s the one you want, click to select it.

Closing the Sale

Once the desired box, gated community, or property is selected, a window will appear asking for confirmation of the sale.

In addition to entering the client’s information, you can indicate whether it is a new client, an address change, or a technology migration:

  • New client: Creates the client from scratch in OZmap.

  • Address change: Relocates an existing client to a new location. To do this, you must enter the client’s existing code in the “Client Code” field.

  • Migration: Used when the client switches technology (for example, from radio to fiber), creating a new registration.

After confirmation, the schematic will be automatically generated based on the registered adjacencies or the layout created by the salesperson, and an email will be sent to the installation team with all the necessary information.

Below, you can see the details from the final screen that will be included in the email.

User Profile-Based Feasibility

This feature allows you to define the drop cable length (used in feasibility by poles) and the default radius (used in feasibility by radius) for each user role.

For example, salespeople can be configured to serve clients with a drop of up to 250 meters, managers up to 500 meters, and administrators up to 1000 meters. The search radius can also be adjusted according to the user’s role.

To learn how to set the default drop length, read our article on user configuration.

Sale Without Feasibility

If the new client is located in an area where the nearby boxes no longer have available connections, the sale cannot be completed. However, the engineering team can be requested to develop that specific area by providing the new client’s information.

Learn more about this process in our article Sale Without Feasibility.
