In OZmap, you can adjust several OZloc settings, such as:

  • Type of feasibility (by poles or by radius);

  • Emails that will receive sale/denied-feasibility notifications;

  • Number of boxes that appear within the configured radius;

  • Search radius size;

  • Ability to make sales inside full boxes that have properties occupying ports;

  • Use of gated communities.

To make these changes, go to the “Settings” category in OZmap’s left-side menu and select the “System” option. There, you’ll find all the configuration options for your system as well as for OZloc.

OZloc Settings in OZmap

Maximum number of boxes in the search radius: this defines the maximum number of boxes that will be displayed within the search radius when the seller adds or relocates a client. The system will always show the ones closest to the selected point.

Feasibility mode: In this setting, you can choose which element the system will search for when adding a new client. If set to by poles, it will look for available poles within the defined radius, and from there, you select the box. When set to a radius, the system will search directly for boxes and properties available within a specified area. For more information, click here.

Consider property-occupied ports as free: when this option is enabled, the system will allow you to make a sale using ports that are currently occupied by a property in fully occupied boxes. During the sale, the system will disconnect that property and replace it with the new client. In the property’s notes, the code of the client who took its previous spot will be displayed.

Consider blocked splitter ports as free: when this setting is enabled, sales can be made using splitter ports that have been previously blocked.

Consider gated communities: when this setting is enabled, OZloc will take the defined areas of gated communities into account during feasibility checks. This means that if the client’s location is inside a gated community, the sale can only be made using boxes that are also within that area. Likewise, a client located outside the community cannot be connected to a box inside it. For more information about sales in condominiums, click here.

Emails for sale/denied-feasibility reports: You can also add emails to receive notifications whenever a sale is completed or a feasibility check is denied. By default, OZmap sends these messages to the email associated with the seller’s user account, but this setting allows you to send them to additional addresses as well, making it easier to keep your entire company informed.

Configure search radius

To configure the system’s search radius, go to the “API” section, located just above “OZloc”, and set the value in feet in the “Default search radius” field. This value defines the area in which boxes, properties, or clients will be searched when adding or relocating a client.

Project settings

The maximum drop length allowed for completing a sale can be configured individually for each project, allowing you to set different values according to your needs. To do this, open the project you want to configure, then go to the “Settings” section and select the “Project” option.

Additionally, in the field below, you can also choose the type of cable the drop will have when it is created.

Role settings

Feasibility can also be configured according to each user role, allowing you to define both the search radius and the maximum drop length that can be used in OZloc for each role. This way, for example, sellers may search for client feasibility within a radius of up to 820 feet, managers up to 1.640 feet, and administrators up to 3.280 feet.

These settings will override any previously defined ones, such as the maximum drop length set in the project settings or the system’s general search radius.
